A lesson in travel writing with Suitcase Magazine

This evening forms the third iteration of travel-related workshops and talks as part of The Library Project initiative, pop-up library within the hotel comprising 100 of the best travel books

Join Olivia Squire (Print Editor-in-Chief) and India Dowley (Digital Editor-in-Chief) of SUITCASE Magazine as they share their expertise in travel writing through an editorial lens. This 13-place seminar will give writing enthusiasts, whether aspiring or semi-professional, the opportunity to participate in an intimate session discussing and exploring the art of travel writing, and will cover topics including how to pitch to editors, how to structure an article and travel clichés to avoid. Olivia and India bring unique insights of both the print and digital realms, their collective experience reflecting a contemporary, curated approach to travel journalism.

Olivia and India’s time at SUITCASE Magazine has seen them shape a globally distributed publication that reflects the concerns and curiosities of the modern traveller. Through a quarterly print magazine, daily updated website, weekly newsletter and events, SUITCASE uses culture as an entry point into different destinations around the world, producing beautiful, inspiring editorial that treats readers with the intelligence and respect they deserve.
