Curator Peter Higgs will discuss how ancient Greek buildings and sculptures were assembled - and how they were destroyed.
Get an insight into how Museum specialists attempt to reconstruct these Ancient monuments from the many fragments that are housed both here in London and the ancient sites from which they came. They face the challenge of piecing together one big, often largely incomplete 3D jigsaw out of marble but Peter will demonstrate how much can be discovered in attempting to rebuild the past.
This lecture includes a complimentary drink
