Floating Tidal Energy: An alternative vision for a new marine industry

Scottish based engineering company Orbital Marine Power (formerly Scotrenewables Tidal Power) are developing a novel solution to the challenge of generating electricity from tidal stream resources.

This presentation will provide a summary of the company’s achievements to date, including the testing of the world’s most powerful tidal turbine; exploring the unique attributes of the technology that, at a conceptual level, deliver a disruptive product to an emerging global market. The talk will also provide a vision for the commercial future of tidal energy.
