This event has finished Took place on: Saturday, 13th Apr 2019

Join Eva Griffith for a day exploring the London history of  clowning. From Jack Tarlton to Will Kemp to Thomas Greene  we know who drew in the crowds and earned the comedy money in Shakespeare’s day. But how did clowns begin to evolve in London, to come out, for example, at Grimaldi of  Sadler’s Wells and the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden? And what happened to them after this?
Bring a picnic.

Cost: £20
