The manuscripts on display in the Anglo Saxon Kingdoms exhibition – including the dazzling Book of Durrow Lindisfarne Gospels, the Eadui Psalter and the Vespasian Psalter – are among the most extraordinary creations of the early medieval world.
Scribe and illuminator Patricia Lovett explores how the manuscripts on display in Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms were made, written and illustrated, alongside a demonstration by Paul Wright from William Cowley, the world’s only parchment and vellum makers.
