Poet and professor of English Mark Ford leads an informal, interactive evening of discussion about T S Eliot’s classic collection of cat poems, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. Come discover and discuss old favourites such as Rum Tum Tugger, Old Deuteronomy, Mr Mistoffelees and the mysterious Macavity.

Mark Ford is a Professor in the English Department at University College London. He has published four collections of poetry, the most recent of which is Enter, Fleeing (2018). He has also published three collections of essays, critical biographies of Raymond Roussel and Thomas Hardy, and an anthology of the poetry of London.
