Northern Line Extension Project

The Northern Line Extension is the first major London Underground extension since the Jubilee Line Extension was opened in the late 1990s.

The lecture will cover how this project is:

Part of the Battersea Power Station regeneration project with two new stations at Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station connecting an area of SW London to the Underground system

Part of the upgrading the train service on London Underground’s Northern Line to provide decreased journey times from Battersea Power Station to the West End or the City

Providing reduced pressure on Vauxhall station, and relief to the existing Northern line south of Kennington

Targeted for completion in 2020
