Monthly open day at Lambeth Palace Gardens

The large private garden of the Archbishop of Canterbury is open once a month in the summer.

The garden has many species native to England, as well as plants from all over the world to reflect the breadth and scope of the Anglican Communion.

Trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals from Europe mix happily with a wide range of plants from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

Admission is £5 for adults, kids free, friendly dogs welcome, refreshments and entertainment provided.

Gates open 12-3pm

Here are some of the charities that will be hosting open days this summer:

1st June – Open Doors Meal

6th July – Youthscape

3rd August – Bede House

7th September – Home Start Lambeth
