What is Moral Distress in Nursing? How, Can and Should we respond to it?

Join us for a day discussing moral distress in nursing and potential ways to respond to it...
Georgina Morley will be hosting this day event where she will be sharing the results from her Wellcome funded doctoral project. Georgina carried out research exploring the concept of moral distress and how it is experienced by nurses working in critical care. She will present her findings and invite questions and debate from the audience regarding moral distress, how, can and shoud we respond to it?
During the day you will also hear talks from....

Professor Cynda Rushton, Anne and George L. Bunting Professor of Clinical Ethics in the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and the School of Nursing
- Developing a US Agenda to Transform Moral Distress into Moral Resilience

There will be refreshments upon arrival, a light lunch, afternoon refreshments and a drinks reception following Professor Rushton's talk.
If you are unable to attend the entire day, there are evening tickets available to attend Professor Rushton's talk which will run from 17.00- 18.30 and is followed by a drinks reception until 19.30.
This event is free for all due to the generous support of the Wellcome Trust.
