A festival style event to discuss and explore ways of making London a cleaner, greener, and more liveable city.

Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of talks, debates, immersive experiences and workshops, as well as networking in our Futures Marketplace and exploring the Museum’s new and iconic galleries after hours.

Meet the people who are trying to solve these problems and find out about the range of actions being taken to improve the city and set London on the path to a better future.

Highlight activities include:

Shirley Rodrigues, Deputy Mayor, Environment and Energy will open the evening with a keynote speech.

Let’s clear the air! Concerned about the detrimental impact of air pollution in London? Join this expert packed panel debate to ask what is happening to reduce pollution in our city and what we can all do to help. Chaired by Professor Frank Kelly of the London Air Quality Network at King’s College London.

Climate change: Forecasting risks, engineering solutions – Climate change is predicted to increase the risk of major flooding, droughts and heatwaves in the capital. As part of the Year of Engineering, join a panel of professional problem-solvers to explore the evidence and discuss ideas for engineering a brighter future. Chaired by Dr Hayaatun Sillem, Chief Executive of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Lightning talks – Inspired by the draft London Environment Plan, enjoy a line-up of quick-fire talks by people striving to make London one of the greenest cities on Earth. Expect innovative large scale infrastructure, urban farming, next generation engineers, living streets and more!

Futures Marketplace – Pop into our Futures Market Place to enjoy workshops and meet the innovators, disruptors and changemakers working towards a healthier, more sustainable, and cleaner city.

Yoga and mindfulness for urban living – Join cultural yoga instructor Chi Onuora who will be sharing a simple daily practice routine of yoga and mindfulness exercises, designed to minimise stress and enhance life in an urban environment.

Enjoy a drink, music and the chance to explore the Museum’s collection after hours, including London Transport Museum’s brand new displays and galleries; Digging Deeper and The Secret Life of a Megaproject
