Launch Reception of the WOMENinSTEM@IC Group
Monday 5-7 pm, 21st May, 2018

We are delighted to launch the official Women’s Engineering Society (WES) Imperial College London group, WOMENinSTEM@IC, and warmly welcome you to join us at our upcoming launch event, where we will share more information about our group and exciting future plans.
The launch will include an interactive panel discussion followed by a reception showcasing inspiring scientists and engineers, like;

Prof Dame Julia Higgins (President of the Institute of Physics), 
Prof Joanna Haigh (Co-Director of the Grantham Institute),
Elspeth Finch (Founder and CEO, Indigo&),
Authentically Ella  (Civil/Tunnel engineer, beauty & lifestyle blogger),
Ozak Esu  (Electrical engineer, and one of "The Telegraph’s Top 50 Women in Engineering under 35").

We are super excited to get our group started and are looking forward to share its journey with you.

OUR MISSION:
 1.   Inspire and support girls and women to achieve their full potential as engineers, applied scientists and technical leaders.
 2.   Provide a platform for personal and professional growth (via mentorship, outreach, networking and counselling).
 3.   Improve the retention of young women STEM graduates in the sciences by creating a warm and supportive networking space.
 4.   Increase the exchange of ideas between departments at Imperial, with a focus on enhancing career opportunities of all students and staff.
5. Facilitate dialogue, connections and collaborations between all group stakeholders (industrial partners, academia, students and staff) and challenging partners to further diversity within their organisation.
