Great Garden Fête

Great Garden Fête

This event has finished Took place on: Sunday, 20th May 2018

The historic Inner Temple Garden will be bringing a flavour of the countryside to the Embankment with ‘The Great Garden Fête’ on Sunday 20 May 2018.

As part of the Chelsea Fringe Festival this free event will open the gates of a classic English garden, based in the heart of the legal quarter of the City of London, bringing a day of merriment for all whilst also helping to raise funds for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Alongside visitors taking part in traditional games such as sack races and the ‘trowel and potato’ race, there will be sheep and miniature donkeys from Spitalfields City Farm.

Visitors are encouraged to bring along their Fruit and Vegetable Sculptures, Mini Posies and Great Bakes for a chance to win a range of prizes. All money raised will go towards Mental Health Awareness Week.
It will be the perfect way to end the festivities of the Royal Wedding weekend. Listen to the music of ‘Amaraterra’ the first Italian pizzica ensemble in London or bring questions to the ‘Ask the Gardener’ sessions.

Picnics are actively encouraged.

Cost: Free of Charge
