Lawrence Wright: God Save Texas

Lawrence Wright: God Save Texas

This event has finished Took place on: Wednesday, 16th May 2018

Pulitzer Prize winning author Lawrence Wright in discussion with former editor of The Evening Standard Simon Jenkins on what's happening in the most controversial state in America and why it’s important.

In his new book, God Save Texas: A Journey into the Future of America, Wright paints a personal, political, and cultural portrait of Texas, unravelling the complex tensions that are at play in America’s largest growing state and explaining their significance to the future of the country as a whole.

All proceeds from our cultural programme go to the Kibera Hamlets School in Nairobi, where Second Home has funded the construction of a new school building designed by our architects Selgas Cano.

Cost: £3.69
