12:30 pm - 5:00 pm
The Notting Hill May Fair began more than 30 years ago and is known for its traditional village games and stalls, music, maypole dancing, fancy dress contest and dog show.
This year, for the first time, we will have a morris dancing display by the “Belles of London City” - an all-female troupe of morris dancers! Local school children will also be demonstrating their talents, dancing round our maypole, with a chance for everyone to join in our maypole dancing workshops as usual.
You’ll find charity craft-stalls selling unusual and colourful handmade goods, made by people in some of the poorest parts of the world, while food-lovers will want to head for our mouth-watering home-made cakes, jams and marmalade. There’s a children’s area selling toys, books and good as new kids’ clothes, a cake decorating stall and a children’s nail and make-up bar. Outside there’s a wonderful plant stall.
After so much excitement, why not relax and enjoy a cream tea with the largest freshly baked scones you will find in Notting Hill, specially made for us by Gail’s bakery or enjoy our smoked salmon bagels and delicious home-made cakes.
