To celebrate the launch of his new book Lost Lanes West, Jack Thurston will be at Stanfords to give an illustrated talk on planning the perfect bike ride.

From choosing the right maps to identifying the quietest country lanes to practical tips for negotiating different kinds of terrain and wild camping strategies for longer trips, Jack will be sharing his expertise on cycling in the UK. 

Tickets £4 (redeemable against the cost of Lost Lanes West by Jack Thurston) includes a glass of wine / soft drink.

About the author: Jack Thurston is the author of the best-selling Lost Lanes series of cycling guidebooks and has spent most of his life exploring the British countryside by bike. As presenter of The Bike Show on Resonance FM, he has brought his affable, infectious velophilia to London’s airwaves, attracting an enthusiastic worldwide audience via the popular podcast edition - now celebrating its fifth millionth download.
