Reflections on the Reformation

Join us for a unique opportunity to hear world-renowned experts reflect on the records of the Reformation, their relevance in the modern day and the impact of the 1517 Reformation anniversary. The event will include a display of key documents from the period.

Panellists include Professor Diarmaid MacCulloch (author of Reformation: Europe’s House Divided 1490–1700), Professor Alexandra Walsham (The Reformation of the Landscape: Religion, Identity and Memory in Early Modern Britain and Ireland), and Dr Jonathan Willis (The Reformation of the Decalogue: Religious Identity and the Ten Commandments in England, c. 1485-1625).

Please note that original documents will be on display as part of this event. Coats and bags are not be permitted in the event venue and must be left in our free lockers on the ground floor. Refreshments may be taken into the events room but not the document display.
