Curse of the Crimson Altar (1968) + Secret of the Red Orchid (1962)

Curse of the Crimson Altar (1968) + Secret of the Red Orchid (1962)

6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Since 1966, the Gothique Film Society has been screening double bills of ‘gothique’ films to like-minded souls. They meet once a month, between October and March (with two shows in March) to watch, appreciate and pass a critical eye over films in the horror and fantasy genres. Seeing these films in the comfort of one’s home is all well and good, but to watch them with like-minded fans, on the big screen, makes for a memorable experience.

Curse of the Crimson Altar (UK / 1968 / 87mins) Directed by Vernon Sewell / Boris Karloff, Christopher Lee, Barbara Steele, Michael Gough
Terrific ‘Gothique’ cast in this early feature from exploitation specialists Tigon.

Secret of the Red Orchid (West Germany / 1962 / 82mins) Directed by Helmuth Ashley / Christopher Lee, Adrian Hoven, Klaus Kinski
Adaptation of Edgar Wallace’s 1932 novel ‘When the Gangs came to London’.

Cost: £7
