Light and Darkness in the City: A Lighting Vision for the City of London

This event has finished Took place on: Wednesday, 28th Feb 2018

 Free

The City of London Corporation together with lighting designers Speirs and Major, are presenting the first Lighting Strategy developed for the Square Mile.

The strategy approach combines holistic, creative and smart ways of balancing light and darkness, meeting the City’s both functional and aesthetic needs.

The event will provide the opportunity for an open discussion on how we can re-imagine the City after dark, focusing on its streets, buildings and open spaces.

The presentation will be followed by a walk which will visit well-known landmarks as well as some less well-known nooks and crannies, exploring how the City’s varied characters and places are portrait at night.
