London Assembly Report Launch: Future Transport

London Assembly Report Launch: Future Transport

This event has finished Took place on: Tuesday, 13th Feb 2018

The launch of the London Assembly Transport Committee report into how technological advances could change the way London’s roads are used.

As new transport technologies become widely available and the travel behaviours of Londoners evolve - transport in the capital may be set to change dramatically over the coming years.

The London Assembly Transport Committee has explored how and whether these trends could make transport in London more sustainable, more efficient and more responsive to Londoners’ needs.

The report focusses primarily on technologies that enable new modes of transport or new types of transport service. Three broad types of technology are considered:

Connected and autonomous vehicles
Remotely controlled delivery vehicles, such as drones and droids
A range of app-based services, such as demand-responsive buses, dockless cycles and Mobility as a Service

The Transport Committee will hold an event at City Hall to launch the report and discuss the implications of these trends. The event will be chaired by the Chairman of the London Assembly Transport Committee, Keith Prince AM. Speakers from Transport for London and the motor vehicle industry will share their views and further speakers will be announced.
Register now - as spaces are limited! This event will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Refreshments will be provided. If you have any dietary or access requirements, please email transportcommittee@london.gov.uk detailing these needs. The event is wheelchair accessible and we aim to meet all accessibility needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
