In a venue rarely open to the public, this red & white wine tasting explores the history of Roman wines. You’ll taste white wines, usually the drink of the rich, as well as reds, more often reserved for the poor.
As you sip on these Roman inspired vintages, expert Neil McKenzie will explain how Roman wines suffered due to natural disasters and through competition with wine makers from Gaul and Iberia. The evening will also feature a rare viewing and talk on painting Londinium Romanum, normally off-view to the public.
Includes wine reception.
