Metropolis: Factory Floor live score performance

This event has finished Took place on: Friday, 28th Apr 2017

 £17

A world-premier performance of a new live musical score to accompany Fritz Lang’s 1927 sci-fi masterpiece Metropolis.

The music was commissioned by the Science Museum and the new soundtrack has been composed, and will be performed on the night, by postindustrial electronic musicians, Factory Floor.

Regarded as a pioneering work in cinematic science fiction, Metropolis features one of the very first screen depictions of a robot, and tells the story of a dystopian future city where workers, who exist as an exploited underclass, are plotting a revolt.

Metropolis, dir. Fritz Lang, 1927, 150 mins, cert. PG
