Robot Surgery Live!

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This will be a chance to watch a simulated operation performed by a surgical robot, the da Vinci Surgical System. Professor Kneebone will host a Q&A with Lord Darzi, and they will talk the audience through the operation as it is performed – on a surgical mannequin rather than a live patient.

Recently acquired by the Science Museum, this particular da Vinci robot was the very first machine to carry out a surgical procedure in the UK.

There will also be the opportunity for audience questions, offering a rare chance to learn about the past, present and future of robotic surgery.

Cost: £22
