CSRA Conference 2017

The CSRA Conference is our annual headline event where you can hear from some great speakers – both LGBT people and allies – working inside and outside the Civil Service.

Every year we run a conference for LGBT civil servants exploring issues affecting the Civil Service, the LGBT community at large, and beyond.

The CSRA Conference will be held on 23 February 2017 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, followed by a social event in the nearby area.
Theme and speakers
This year, the conference will focus on Justice and Citizenship, to coincide with the theme for LGBT History Month.
We’ve announced our first 2 guest speakers. We’ll be announcing more speakers in the next fortnight.

To attend the conference, you’ll need to register. Tickets for this year’s conference are available now via Eventbrite.
Spaces are limited so make sure you reserve your place early. Registrations opened 23 January 2017 and will be open for 2 weeks. Full details about the registration process can be found here.
Venue and logistics
The conference will be held at the BEIS Conference Centre in Westminster.The venue is situated close to Westminster, St James’s Park and Victoria underground stations.

Terms and conditions
By registering for the CSRA Conference, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions:
Confirmation of booking – space at the conference is limited. Whilst we will generally try and allocate seats on a first come, first served basis, we may need to limit the number of delegates per Department to ensure that a broad range of Departments can be represented. Your booking is only confirmed when you have received written confirmation from CSRA.
Coverage – A delegates place at the CSRA conference provides you with attendance to all the sessions, catering, and refreshments. CSRA does not cover your hotel accommodation costs or travel expenses. These must be covered by your home Department.
Cancellation – All cancellations must be made in writing (via email) to CSRA by 12noon on Friday 17th February 2017. Any cancellations beyond this point will incur a cancellation fee of £50 (billed to your Departmental Diversity/HR team) to cover the costs associated with your place.
Substitution – substitution of delegate places is permitted provided that we are informed by email by 12noon on Friday 17th February 2017 and a new delegate booking form is completed for the substitute delegate.
Programme changes – It may be necessary to change the speakers, topics and sometimes the timings of the conference programme for reasons beyond our control. CSRA cannot be held liable to these changes should they occur.
Venue rules – You must comply with all rules, regulations, and other reasonable instructions of the conference team and security staff at the BEIS Conference Centre.
Photography – Official photographers will be taking pictures on the day for use in CSRA and internal communications. Any other photography and/or recordings (whether visual or aural) of the proceedings of the event, without the written consent of the BEIS Conference Centre team and CSRA is STRICTLY prohibited. Please contact us at events@ukcsra.com if you need to obtain consent.
Personal effects – We are not responsible or otherwise liable to your for loss or damage to your personal property while you are in attendance at the venue at which the event is taking place.
Data protection – by registering for the event, the Civil Service Rainbow Alliance will add you to our distribution list. We will use this distribution list to send you further information about this event, and, to send you information about other events that we, or other LGBT networks in the Civil Service, are organising and that we think will be of interest to you.
