Japan Matsuri Festival

10:00 am - 8:00 pm

Come and enjoy the delicate flavours of the best Japanese cuisine, music, culture and dance at London’s annual Japan Matsuri festival!

Enjoy a stage show featuring Shishi-odori (deer dancing – the timeless rituals of north-eastern mountain gods); Joji Hirota and the London Taiko Drummers; international Tezuma magician Taiju Fujiyama with his taste of old Edo magic; join in with Radio Taiso which will put you through your paces with some gentle warm-up routines…. and much more!

Also why not visit the activity tent and play traditional Matsuri games, or learn Japanese crafts from origami and calligraphy to manga cartoon drawing. There’ll be martial arts demos and karaoke too - something for everyone!

Japan Matsuri is an event organised by a charity of the same name, with the support of volunteers from the Japan Association in the UK, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the UK, the Japan Society and the Nippon Club. Additionally it receives support from the Embassy of Japan in the UK and the Japan Foundation. It is also supported by both the Mayor of London and Westminster City Council.
