When a brilliant scientist falls into a coma with an inoperable blood clot in the brain, a surgical team embarks on a top-secret journey to the centre of the mind in a high-tech military submarine shrunk to microbial dimensions. The science maybe shaky but there is no denying the spectacle which sees scuba-diving surgeons battle white blood cells, tap the lungs to replenish the oxygen supply, and riding the aorta like daredevil surfers.
Historian of Biology and film-buff Professor Joe Cain (UCL Science and Technology Studies) will introduce the film.
The film is followed by a free drinks reception in a private view of the Museum. This event is free and there is no need to book.
Note - the film is shown in the lecture theater across the road from the museum. You then trapse back for the wine.
Cost: Free of Charge
