Limited Edition Maps to be Hidden on the Tube this Saturday

A total of 400 limited edition tube maps will be hidden around the London Underground on Saturday -- the 114th anniversary of Harry Beck's birth.

What once started out as an art project to take the tube map and give stations different names has spawned a whole industry of clones and spoofs, many unauthorised and very rarely, authorised by London Underground.

Blue plaque unveiled for tube map pioneer

Earlier today a new blue plaque was unveiled by English Heritage, which has a very specific and rare difference from all the other plaques they have installed on the sides of buildings.
