History of Gloucester Road Tube Station
| 31st Aug 1987 | It was announced on 13th March 1987 that the Piccadilly line platforms could close for 16 months from the end of August 1987 to allow for new lifts to be installed. Later confirmed as from 30th August 1987. |
| 5th Nov 1982 | The westbound District line platform closed for six weeks for repairs. During the closure, the westbound trains shared the eastbound platform. |
| 1st Mar 1970 | From this date, all eastbound trains would use the newly widened centre platform, and the old eastbound platform taken out of use. It's now home to the Art on the Underground programme. |
