For a bit over a decade, ianVisits has been providing news and information about what’s happening in London.

The website, apart from the time to produce, also has running costs in hosting, email newsletters, etc.

While the advertising revenue contributes to funding the website’s costs, these days online advertising is a rapidly shrinking way for websites to cover their costs, and has got far, far worse this year due to you know what.

That is why I have a facility with DonorBox where you can support the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It’s very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether its a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of the ianVisits website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what ianVisits provides, then please support the website here.

  1. When I get some money from the 3rd HMRC Self-Employment Income Support Scheme next week, I will certainly be putting some of it your way.

I really appreciate all your hard work here.

  2. As promised, I’ve put some money you way. As I run a website of my own I know how hard it paying for hosting and the like.

Do you know about Traffic Cop from PubGuru? It’s taken away all my bad traffic, which has caused my ad revenue to return.

Good luck, keep up the good work!
