If you fancy wearing a t-shirt with a dinosaur on it, then a fund-raiser for the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs has come to your rescue.

The clothing firm, Boho+Bowie says that the t-shirt was designed exclusively to raise awareness of the plight of the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, which are a Grade I listed site, currently on the heritage at risk list.

The statues; which are a unique part of London’s rich history since 1854 need restoration and preservation to ensure that they remain intact for future generations.

The t-shirts are available from here.

To support the dinosaurs, £2 from every sale will be donated to Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs.

In related news, work has now started repairing vandalism caused to the head of the Grade I listed Megalosaurus earlier this year, particularly to large parts of the upper and lower jaw.

The works will focus primarily on replacing detached parts of the sculpture with replica sections. This will improve the short-term appearance of the Megalosaurus, protect the sculpture from the effects of the weather and enable further investigative works for long-term repairs.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you
