Delayed by you know what, London Craft Week will take place at the end of September, and alongside exhibitions of crafty wares in shops and galleries, there are a number of pre-bookable talks and workshops.
Prices range from free to ouch, although the more expensive workshops tend to be for a small number of people and involve serious crafting.
All of the ones below have tickets released on Monday August 24th 2020, so this should give you time to decide what you like, and put a reminder in your diary to check back on the day.
The Art of Court Jewellery at Cleave

Cleave & Company are Court Jewellers and will host three talks during the day on different topics about their work.
The Sipsmith School of Smithery
Thur 1st Oct 11am-6pm
Sipsmith founders and experts from Cockpit Arts are dispensing one-on-one advice and curating inspiring group workshops and discussions. The day ends with a panel talk about the future of smithery and the chance to connect with other makers over a G&T or two.
Barbour Jacket Rewaxing Workshop

Barbour will be running jacket rewaxing workshops in their Duke Street store. If worn regularly, a Barbour wax jacket should be rewaxed annually to ensure that it continues to offer the best in protection and weather resistance.
Craft Matters at Cox London

A talk at the London workshop where they practice forged-iron, cast bronze, lead and silver soldering, mould making, wax working, plaster casting, gilding and hand patination techniques.

Workshops in kintsugi, a method of mending ceramics with lacquer and metal powder. New for 2020, will be an opportunity to make Japanese style incense.
Basketry Workshop at South London Gallery

Designed for beginners, basket lovers and colour enthusiasts, join Tabara N’Diaye of La Basketry for an interactive workshop on how to make a colourful basket.
Craft Workshops at Morley College

MacGregor and Michael – a Leather Masterclass with Bentleys London

Valerie Michael will be hosting three more this year and teaching her students to hand-stitch a vegetable-tanned leather luggage tag. Running from 10am-1pm, classes are open to people of all ages and abilities and participants will be able to keep the results of their efforts.
Discovering Cremonese Instrument Making at the Royal Academy of Music

Barbara Meyer gives a one hour talk and demonstration introducing the history of the violin and the famous Classical instrument making community in Cremona, Italy between 1550 and 1750.
