Tickets have been released for the last chance to go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Crossrail station at Canary Wharf. It’s pretty much a completed station now, so this will be a chance to see an empty station long before it’s filled with office workers hurrying to work.

As it looked at the end of 2013

Visitors on Wednesday 28 February 2018 will have an opportunity to view the new ticket hall and platform for the future Elizabeth line station. Staff from across the project will be present to answer any questions.

This is a self guided tour where your ticket allows you entry for up to 1 hour, and will include an exclusive view of the new ticket hall and platform at Canary Wharf.

The tours don’t include the railway tunnels, which are still being fitted out.

To book a ticket, go here and select a time from the “Available Dates” option.

Visits such as this are in high demand, and to ensure they are fair to all wishing to attend, you will only be permitted into site at the time of your ticket.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you

Tried to book on the above link provided – but it doesn’t seem to work – ie. Booking for Canary Wharf Crossrail Station visit on Wednesday 28th Feb.

I even tried using Eventbrite directly, but to no avail.

    Please can you assist?
    Thank you.

I got my invitation to apply for a ticket by being a subscriber to Crossrail News. Try the Crossrail website to sign up.

Oops. That’s from a different Ian, not ianvisits.co.uk.

Looking very good must say. I think it should be completed late this year or mid-summer next year.
