As you may recall, last year I spent a delightful day riding in a collection of London heritage buses to visit an abandoned village in the middle of the Salisbury military training grounds.
A service that was started up in 2009 is now an annual event, and they have announced that this year it will take place on Bank Holiday Monday — 25th August 2014.
So if you fancy riding through empty countryside with the occasional burnt-out tank and many warning signs about unexploded bombs for company — put that date in your diary.
Tickets were £7 last year, for a day pass — pricing may differ this year, but its still a good price for unlimited bus travel through a part of the UK you would otherwise never be allowed to visit.
