Future Battersea Tube Station Wont be Accessible to Disabled – Maybe

For the avoidance of doubt, this is a very tongue in cheek blog post.

Another round – of many – consultations for the planned extension to the Northern Line to take it more South-West(ish) towards the derelict Battersea Power Station has been announced.

More details over at Annie Mole and London Reconnections.

Being a mischievous sort though, I couldn’t help noticing that that the future Battersea station lacks the ugly blue blob that indicates that the station is accessible to those less able/inclined to use the escalators.

OMG – a new station that wont be accessible!

Yes, it is just a mock-up of a possible future tube map and no it is not by TfL, and Yes, I am quite sure that yummy mummies will be able to take their prams into the station without any problems if and when the station is finally built.
