Each summer, a series of luxury liners visit London, and while the city doesn’t have a formal cruise liner port, there are three suitable mooring points where the liners can berth for a few days.

As the ones heading into the center of town pass my flat, I tend to keep an eye on the calendar for visits. The list below gives the known dates for visits this summer based on data from the Port of London Authority. Military ships don’t give more than a few days notice – at best – so they are not listed until I am able to confirm a visit.

The cruise liners passing up to Tower Bridge will be moored next to HMS Belfast – and I’ll usually note the times on the events calendar as there are photo opportunities as the liners pass through the raised Tower Bridge.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for just over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, but doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether its a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what your read on here, then please support the website here.
