Troops recall fuels election fever

That was the “headline” on a poster I spoted today advertising the Evening Standard newspaper.

As a person though, who spends much of his time reading about elections in (ahem) developing nations, where the election is usually won by the person who can muster the largest militia to intimidate the population as opposed to being a declaration of genuine voter opinion…

My initial thought was to wonder if Gordon Brown was recalling the troops as a way of subduing those Brits who might dare to vote for someone other than Nu Old Labour.
