Tours of a Royal Navy minesweeper

HMS Middleton, one of the Royal Navy’s Hunt Class Mine Countermeasures Vessels (MCMV) will be in London next weekend, and the ship will be open for public tours.

That happens to be the same weekend as a Destroyer is down in Greenwich, so if you missed those tours, a smaller military ship is available, next to Tower Bridge.

HMS Middleton detects, investigates, and destroys sea-bed threats such as mines with the use of high powered sonar, remote underwater vehicles and divers. The ship and her crew will be open to the public for tours to allow you to learn more about the work these vessels undertake.

Tours also include a presentation by the Royal Navy Reserve unit based on HMS President, which is the navy base next to Tower Bridge.
