When it reopens after the lockdown, the Royal Albert Hall is hosting a trial event to test its reopening processes, with a cheap tickets organ recital.

And tickets cost just £10 per person, although there’s a minimum order of two tickets.

The organ recital, with organist Thomas Trotter will be the first public event held in the Hall’s auditorium since they closed our doors on 17 March.

There will be a very limited number of seats available for this show featuring a repertoire from J.S. Bach’s to Eric Coates and Edward Elgar played by the organist on the Hall’s huge 9,999-pipe Henry Willis organ.

The recital takes place on the day after the lockdown ends – Thursday 3rd December at 4pm.

Details are here, and tickets can be booked here.

This website has been running now for just over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, but doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether its a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.
