To mark the soon to be released Blu-ray boxset of Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 22, BFI Southbank will be hosting a screening of Doctor Who: Revelation of the Daleks, in which Colin Baker’s Doctor comes up against his deadliest enemy.
It’s the final story in Season 22 and was originally broadcast in March 1985.
The Doctor and Peri land on the planet Necros where The Great Healer is carrying out genetic experiments on the inhabitants, which turns them into mutants. It soon becomes clear that there’s a shocking reason for these actions – and it involves the Doctor’s deadliest enemy, the Daleks.
The concluding story of season 22 will be presented in 5.1 surround sound.
Tickets to watch the two 45-minute long episodes will go on sale at 11:30am on Thursday 10 February 2022 from here.
The show will be at the BFI Southbank on Saturday 5th March at noon.
The Blu-ray collection is due to be released shortly, and can be preordered from here, and of course, Doctor Who fans should visit the Dr Who Museum in East London.
This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.
It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.
Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.
