There are few films that can be genuinely said to be worthy of both a big screen and an orchestra and choir to provide live music.
Stanley Kubrick’s sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey turns 50 years old this year, so the Southbank Centre is putting on a screening, with the live orchestral and choir accompaniment.
The screening takes place on 28th April at the Royal Festival Hall. Tickets start at £22.50, and can be booked here.
The 50th anniversary itself takes place on 15th May — the date it was first shown in the UK.
