The annual exhibition of new posters by today’s illustrators has opened and you’ll be seeing three of them in tube stations shortly.
The exhibition at the Transport Museum shows off the shortlist from the Prize for Illustration 2017, and artists were invited to respond to the theme of Sounds of the City and capture sounds heard in our UK cities in a single illustration – from loud and frenetic urban noise to the more quiet and relaxing sounds of nature.
The three winning designs that will also be seen on the London Underground are:
Unsurprisingly for a competition organised in association with London Transport, most of the posters are London themed, but the winner could be any city, as the competition didn’t require it to be London centric.
Over 100 illustrations, which were shortlisted from over 2,000 entries will be on display at the London Transport Museum until 3rd September 2017.
