Stanmore tube station is the northern terminus of the Jubilee line. It has three platforms, stairs up to the main entrance and a long ramp for accessible access. There isn't currently a lift at the station, although one is planned.

The station originally opened in December 1932 as part of the Metropolitan line, but was handed to the Bakerloo line in 1939 and was transferred to the newly created Jubilee line in May 1979.

It originally had two platforms, but a third was added in 2011.

Next to the station is a large depot for stabling trains, and a car park for the public.

The station is notable for being very busy when events are taking place at Wembley Park, as it's a convenient location for people to drive to and park cars or coaches, and then it's less than 10 minutes to Wembley Park station.

Local buses stop right outside the station, there is a small shop and a taxi cab service.
