About the Queen's House

The first classical Palladian style building in the UK, this 400 year old retreat for monarchs is now a public art gallery.

The display is of around 400 paintings and historic objects laid out into two main themes, for the King and the Queen.

In the centre is the famous square room which so astonished England when first built.

IMPORTANT - Although venues are reopening, their hours may differ from normal, and most now need prebooking before you visit.
