London’s Alleys: Percy Passage, W1
This alley just to the north of Oxford Street in the heart of Fitzrovia is a convenient shortcut through a block of shops and offices and is original from when the area was first laid out.
London’s Pocket Parks: Rathbone Square, W1
Just moments from Oxford Street, this is a newish pocket park that sits inside a new mixed development of offices and residential flats with a semi-public square in the middle.
London’s Alleys: Richardson’s Mews, W1
Just around the corner from posh Fitzroy Square can be found this almost as posh quiet mews. A small gap in the rows of shops and houses with the BT Tower dominating the background.
London’s Alleys: Middleton Place, W1
The oldest surviving purely residential walkway in the West End, Middleton Place is actually a modern name for a much older passageway.
The Church of St Charles Borromeo
Wandering around the back streets near the BT Tower, I noticed an interesting looking Church and wandered over for a closer look.
