About Bow Street Police Museum
A modest sized museum housed inside the former Bow Street police station.
It tells the story of policing in London, the Bow Street Runners, and of the many famous people who either spent a night in the police station, or were sent for trial at the next-door magistrate's court.
It also includes the former holding cells, which are now exhibition spaces telling more of the history, and the "tank", a large cell used for holding drunks overnight.
