Shakespeare-themed artworks appear in Shoreditch
A set of Shakespeare-themed artworks have appeared in Shoreditch, at the site of the forthcoming Shakespeare Museum.
The museum’s doorway is backlit by stained-glass displays based on scenes from The Winter’s Tale, while a large wall opposite has been decorated with more Shakespeare themes.
The backlit windows are quite modest in scale, filling the future museum doorway, but at night, they glow agreeably, and the plaza where the museum sits has also been designed to look nice at night.
The museum can be found just off Curtain Road (behind the Horse and Groom pub), which is to the north of Liverpool Street station.
The installations will be in place until January 2025.
Interesting. Looking forward to finally getting inside next year. Many thanks.
