Two favourite characters of a pair of New York-based artists have arrived in London – a rabbit-headed woman and a dog-headed man.

Rabbitwoman and Dogman are supposed to tell the “autobiographical tale of two opposites coming together to become best friends and soul mates”, and the two artists who make them make an awful lot of them.

It’s easy to see why, apart from the message they send, the simple fact is… they’re fun. It’s difficult to walk past a rabbit and dog sitting down sharing a latte and not pause a while and smile.

Around the corner, the couple are off on a motorbike ride, clutching cups of coffee. I wouldn’t want to be dogman though, his sidecar was flooded with rainwater on the day I visited. Soggy bottoms!

Two of the duo can be found in the main courtyard outside Spitalfields market.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you
