A bit of a publicity thing, but there’s a chance to fly a full scale Boeing 737 flight simulator this weekend – for free.
The cockpit is actually built from a former aircraft so the controls are identical to those you would expect to find inside a cockpit – every lever and button is operational and will have an effect on the flight if used. The simulator features 180 degree screens with panoramic visuals, sounds and vibrations — to mimic a plane in flight.
The venue near Putney railway station, Flight Experience London (FEL) is offering short taster sessions this Saturday — it normally charges £140 for 30 minutes.
The sessions will let you “try” to flying a Boeing 737 jet and land into Heathrow airport.
As Indiana Jones once said when asked if he could fly… “fly yes, land, no!”.
The flight simulator at Flight Experience London will be open from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 8th April on a first come, first fly basis.
Address: 129 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, London. SW15 2TX
