New York style smash burgers coming to London for four days only

A much loved New York smash burger bar is coming to London – for just four days – and they’re giving away free burgers.

Starting off in the East Village and attracting queues around the block, 7th Street Burger has built a cult-like status in New York City as burger lovers seek out what many are hailing as the city’s best smash burger.

In case you’re wondering, a smash burger is one that has been made by smashing a ball of ground beef onto the grill with a spatula. Smashing the burger results in a sear on the outside of the meat, which then locks in all of the juices and flavor.

Next week, 7th Street Burger will take over Truffle Burger Soho for just four days.

They will make just 500 burgers each day — but if you are keen on a bargain, the first 50 people in the queue each day will get a free burger.

The offer runs from 4th to 8th September inclusive.

The Soho restaurant opens at 12 noon, so you’ll need a kindly boss who lets you out of work early to get into the queue.

Truffle Burger Soho is at 22 Bateman Street, W1D 3AN – half way between Soho Square and Old Compton Street.
