When anyone says a timetable change is ‘easy’ you know that it’s not ever going to be easy and despite any professed expertise often forget the knock-on effects on the rest of the timetable and resources such as trains and drivers.
How odd that Mr Khan is defending the free passes to Tfl workers, and a couple of stories down , TfL is seeking new ways to combat fare evasion & ticket fraud.
Perhaps he is afraid of any response by the unions if the status quo is altered. So much for a level playing field.

Could we please all stop using the phrase “near-misses”. After all, a “near hit” is a miss so a “near miss” must be a hit, exactly the opposite of what was intended.
