Hi Ian,
I am a very keen Canadian viewer of your London news. Thank you kindly.
I just watched a superb Monty Don documentary about Kew Gardens. In order to heat the original greenhouse vast amounts of coal were delivered by an underground railway. He did not go into any details but, as I cannot find anything about it online, I thought I’d bring it to your attention. I’d like to see any photographs and whether it was human or engine powered.
I will write to Kew but I thought I would first contact you.
With all good wishes for 2018,
Nic
